Watch List for Tuesday 4-12-2011
My new Big Report: FORC.
If you have been getting my reports the last few weeks, they I'm sure you have been following my latest Lithium alert, LEXG. It has moved almost straight up for 2 weeks and is up roughly 65%!!
Hurry and throw FORC on your watch list, FORC goes beyond just Lithium because this morning they announced they will mine for rare earth minerals too. Link: http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Force-Energy-Begins-Lithium-iw-2311340186.html?x=0&.v=1
FORC is trading at the bottom of a support level, and has had numerous rallies in the past, FORC has come back to life after the news announcement this morning. View Chart: http://bigcharts.marketwatch.com/quickchart/quickchart.asp?symb=forc&insttype=&freq=1&show=&time=8
Could FORC bounce off the support level as energy price hover near 2 year highs?
Global events are forcing long overdue shifts in energy sources. As supplies of oil from the crumbling Middle Eastern markets tighten, oil prices lurch ever higher, from $70. a barrel in August to its current price of $113. Equally compelling have been the horrific events in Japan, where global nuclear power development has been brought to a screeching halt.
Meanwhile life goes on in America, or tries to. The hemorrhaging of its oil and nuclear lifeblood will soon convert the nation’s economic pinch into a burning rash. Everybody knows energy sources have to change, right now.
The logical place to start is transportation. Americans not only love their cars, they need them. Altering the fuel source for all of those cars is a must. Fortunately, rechargeable electric cars offer a fast and simple solution, and that’s where companies like Force Energy Corporation (FORC) come in.
The Denver-based company expects to play a central role in the production of lithium, a critical component of rechargeable batteries. According to FORC’s website, it has “recently expanded our business model to include the exploration of mineral properties.” More specifically, FORC is mining for lithium. For example, one of its properties, called Zoro 1, is expected to yield an incredible 1,727,550 tons of lithium-bearing minerals, assaying at 0.945% of lithium oxide.
When compared to competitors such as nickel metal hydride, lithium wins hands-down. It’s the smallest and lightest metallic element. Pound-for-pound it delivers three times the energy, recharges much faster, has a longer life and can endure extremely frigid temperatures. It’s among the top 15 elements of the Earth’s crust, so there’s plenty of lithium for the taking.
Consumer electronics have already seen a dramatic shift toward lithium-ion batteries and auto manufacturers have announced their intent to do the same. That equates into a huge future for lithium suppliers!!
Demand for lithium knows no direction but up. The federal government loves the potential of lithium-ion batteries and has injected $5 billion as an incentive for further development of the battery industry. But the demand for lithium doesn’t end with just batteries. Among other things it’s used in the manufacturing of glass, aluminum, ceramics and lubricating greases. Its beneficial effect in the treatment of bipolar disease is well understood.
The fact that Canada is the focus for FORC’s mining operation is a major bonus. Canada is recognized as a world leader in the mineral and gas industry. Its resilient economy and stablepolitical climate make for a safe and well-supported location for FORC’s lithium production.
